Newman and Miss Mary have received their acceptance letters from Guide Dog U and on December 1, 2012 will be leaving for IFT...
"In For Training"

Newman #77PD11 is a Yellow Lab Male, raised by High School student, Quincy Sklar of Orlando, Florida.

The following is written by Quincy:

"As you know, Newman will be going IFT on December 1st.  Over the past year Newman has been my constant companion such as providing me support through the daunting nights of trudging through my schoolwork to the copious outings that we shared.  When I first received Newman I knew right away that this dog was special, a dog determined to please whomever he met.  Although Newman is now grown up knowing his commands and preparing for the next stage, he is still that puppy from the first day I raised him.  I will truly miss him.

A once inseparable bond will now be broken, but all is not lost as I will forever be touched by Newman.  I could not wish for a better dog to guide through his beginning stages of life, and soon I hope he will do the same."

Miss Mary is a Black Lab Female raised by College student, Faye Flynn of Gainsville, Florida.

We know that Newman and Miss Mary will do well during their formal harness training and make us all proud!
